Eligibility

You can join if…

Open to females ages 18-50

  • Current diagnosis of anorexia nervosa
  • Illness onset at least 2 years prior to study
  • Medically stable
  • Identified carer to participate in treatment with participant

You CAN'T join if...

  • Developmental or intellectual disorder
  • Diagnosis of substance abuse or dependence in 3 months prior to study
  • Current suicidal thoughts
  • Severe comorbid psychiatric disorder (e.g., psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder)

Lead Scientist

  • Christina Wierenga
    Dr. Wierenga received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the University of Florida (2005) and completed a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCSD from 2005 to 2007. She then joined the UCSD faculty, funded by a Career Development Award (CDA-2) from the VA.
